Jonathon is a registered landscape architect who first joined the TCL team in July 2014 with a Masters in Landscape Architecture and a professional background in web and graphic design. He is passionate about landscape architecture and its vital role in the social and ecological sustainability of our urban environments. As a father, he is particularly interested in playspace design and its role in early childhood development.
During his time with TCL Joni has worked on a range of projects including master planning, competition entries, concept development and detail design. He has been critical to the documentation of some of the firm’s large-scale projects including the documentation of the acclaimed Scarborough Foreshore Redevelopment in WA, and Southbank Boulevard in Melbourne. He recently returned to TCL after 3 years as a senior landscape architect for a firm in Hobart, Tasmania, where he designed and managed projects for a range of clients from local government to the states Parks and Wildlife Service. Most notably, he ran the firm’s largest project, the recently constructed, Kingston Park - a park and playspace for Kingborough Council - heralded as one of the Tasmania’s best playgrounds.
Jonathon enjoys the diverse scales and collaborative nature of the practice. He has high level of efficiency in graphic representation, 3D modelling and documentation, and prides himself on delivering the best project outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
A high attention to detail, strong visual representation skills, and passion for problem solving make Jonathon invaluable to TCL and its clients.
